It’s time to celebrate the USA in Larned, KS! The annual 4th of July fireworks display is fully funded by the Larned Area Chamber Ambassadors’ Flag Lease Program.

Every year, the July 4th celebration commences with the annual Larned Civic PRIDE 4th of July Run (2 mile & 10k), Walk (2 mile) & Triathlon. Register ahead of time or come @ 6:30am to the Larned Swimming Pool and events start @ 7:30 am.

Dedication @ Courthouse for the Boy Scout Statute of Liberty will be held at 11 am.

Events all day at Fort Larned with festivities on July 4th and 5th. Join us for our special programing this year as we examine not only Fort Larned’s military era, but the United States military through the ages and through the conflicts. Learn how a Revolutionary War musket compared to a Fort Larned rifle, learn about the World Wars, and hear experiences from a Vietnam War veteran and Park Ranger. So much rich history will be explored, and you won’t want to miss it!

Evening program to celebrate America’s 250 begin at 7 pm at the Larned Community Center – Jordaan Park, 1500 Toles Ave. with music, games and food.  Fireworks begin at dusk.
