Toby Lynn Elliott, 46, passed away May 16, 2026, in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born on July 18, 1979, in Great Bend, to James and Kathy (Strait) Elliott. On March 3, 2006, he married Erika Varela in Great Bend.

A resident of San Antonio since 2010 coming from Great Bend, Toby worked in client services for Marriott and myLawn! Turf & Tree. He enjoyed helping and being around people. Prior to his move, Toby was an ambassador for the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Bandera Road Community Church. Toby loved everything cars – from detailing to driving, particularly Buicks - loved to grill, and chase Kansas sunrises. He cherished his family, especially his children.

Survivors include his wife, Erika Valera of San Antonio, Texas; children, Natalie Elliott, Naomie Elliott, Esteban Elliott, and Angelica Burnett; brothers, Jim Elliott (Alicia) of Auburn, Jeremy Elliott (Kim) of Great Bend, and Cody Elliott (Kelsi) of Great Bend; uncle, Dennis Strait of Kinsely; aunt, Carol Elliott of Great Bend; nieces and nephews, Kylie Elliott, Ashley Elliott, Peyton Fincham, Brayden Elliott, Parker Elliott, Keaton Elliott, Quinton Elliott, Jermaine Lopez, Azha Tillitson, Tevyn Elliott, Elexia Elliott, Milla Elliott, Camden Elliott, and Emma Elliott; and parents-in-law, Hector and Eulalie Varela.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Michelle Lee Elliott.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2026, at Encounter Church. Memorials have been designated to the Toby Elliott Children’s Education Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
