Viola A Jordan
1944-2026

Viola A. (Eberhardt) Jordan, passed away on Friday June 5, 2026, at Advena Living in Cherryvale. Born on November 30, 1944, in Wichita, Kansas, Viola lived a life marked by dedication, faith, and family.

A longtime resident of Kansas, Viola built a commendable career as a Graphics Inspector on Airplanes at both Cessna and Textron in Wichita. In her professional endeavors, she was known for her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence, contributing to the success and safety of countless aircraft.

Viola was deeply spiritual and proudly devoted to her faith as a member of Piedmont Methodist Church. Her spirituality was a guiding force throughout her life, a source of comfort, strength, and inspiration to those who knew her.

On August 19, 1989, in Piedmont, Kansas, Viola married LeRoy Jordan. They were married 36 years until her passing.

Family was at the heart of Viola’s world. She was a loving mother to Brenda Williams of Cherryvale, Kansas, and grandmother to Chelsea Myers, Patrick Williams, and Curtis Williams. Her role as a matriarch expanded joyfully to include four great-grandchildren—Karlee Myers, Kamryn Bruening, Kash Myers, and Kali Myers—as well as a great-great grandson, Kohen Morris. Viola also cherished time with her sisters, nieces, and nephews, including her sister Geri Malli of Topeka, Kansas, two nieces, and three great-nephews. Her husband, LeRoy G. Jordan, remains by her side at their home, surrounded by the enduring love they shared.

Viola was known for her warmth and gentle spirit, often found engrossed in a good book, enjoying quiet moments watching television, or tenderly caring for Bittie, the family cat who held a special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clayton and Wilma Benedict Eberhardt.

Viola A. Jordan’s legacy is one of faith, family, and steadfast dedication. She will be remembered with deep respect and affection by all who had the privilege to know her. Her life was a testament to kindness, spirit, and the enduring bonds of love.
