Leticia Guzman, 70, died June 6, 2026, at Clara Barton Hospital ER, Hoisington, Kansas. She was born April 11, 1956, in Miguel Auza, Zacatecas, Mexico, the daughter of Severo and Maria (Arroyo) Cordova.
In 1970 she married Thomas Guzman and they were blessed with a daughter, Maria.
They settled in Garden City where they spent many years. Thomas preceded her in death in 2008.
While in Garden City she was a member of the Puertas del Cielo Church. Her family reflected that she lived her life bravely and joyfully always rejoicing in the Lord and that she was an amazing cook, especially known for her bunvelos which she made by the dozens.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Guzman and grandchildren, Joel, Misael, and Axel Gonzalezz, all of Miguel Auza, Mexico; her life partner, Jesus Vidana; along with siblings, Severiano Cordova, Rafael Cordova, Rosa Cordova, Annastacio Cordova, Luis Cordova, and Martha Cordova; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents and husband Thomas.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment will take place in Miguel Auza, Mexico at a later date.
