Jean (Mick) Francis Nobert, 75, passed away on May 31, 2026 at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton, KS.
Jean (Mick) was born on June 29, 1950 in Concordia, KS to parents Armel Peter Nobert, Jr. and Theresa Frances Marie (Charbonneau) Nobert.
He attended Glasco Grade School and graduated from Glasco High School, Glasco, KS in 1968. He then attended Cloud County Community College, Concordia, KS. Through the years, Mick was a fire fighter for the McPherson Fire Department, owned and operated the Mick's Pub and Grub and was the farm store manager for Lesco, both of Glasco, KS. He was Lead Inspector and Service Manager for El Dorado Motor Corporation, in Minneapolis, KS, began working in 1990 for N.C.R.A. as a Lab Tech and Pipefitter Rigger, and retired in 2012.
Mick was a member of the Son's of the American Legion Post 24 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 2715 and a member of the USW Steel Workers SOAR. Mick enjoyed golf, hunting, spending time with his friends and family, and watching his granddaughters in their activities.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Nobert and spouse Panitha of El Dorado, KS; sisters, Jane Jones (Jim) of McPherson, MaryLynn Powell (Larry) of McPherson, and Patty Wesley (Chris) of Hesston, KS; granddaughters, Vanessa Nobert and Elisabeth Nobert; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; Theresa and Armel Nobert, Jr.
On Thursday, June 4, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, McPherson, there will be a Visitation at 10:00 a.m., Rosary at 10:30 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with Father Michael Kerschen officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
