Dennis Dunigan, beloved husband, father, and brother in Christ Jesus went home to be with the Lord May 10, 2026 at the age of 72.

He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother Alvin Roscoe Dunigan and Inis Lucille (Doan) Dunigan of Wichita, KS. And his wife of 37 years, Connie Hays. (Dunigan)

He is Survived by his brother Tim Allen Dunigan of Howard, KS. Sister Janet Lambert of Wichita, KS. Daughter Shawnna Dunigan in TX. And a stepdaughter Valina. And many friends who supported Him in his walk with Jesus Christ.

Dennis attended Allen Elementary and John Marshall Junior High in Wichita, KS. There he developed a passion for antique cars and trucks. He always jumped on an opportunity to work on one if it arose. He enjoyed fishing the local lakes as well. For a good part of his working life he drove trucks for a company out of Wichita allowing him to see much of the Midwest. After moving to Howard Dennis would often be seen cutting lawns with his riding lawn mower or cruising to Howard Lake on his motorbike.

Outside his passions and health problems Dennis had recently rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism in late 2025. He said he was going into a new season in his life. He came faithfully to worship and the Thursday night men's study at Rebekah Hall. Dennis' blunt attitude and one of a kind laugh will surely be missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday May 16 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church Howard. In lieu of flowers please make donations to First Baptist Church Howard Building Fund. 135 N. Cedar St. Howard, KS 67349 Thank you.
