1943-2026
Mark E. Rupp, 82, of Moundridge, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Pine Village in Moundridge. He was born on June 25, 1943, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Weldon J. and Linda (Balzer) Rupp.
He graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 1961.
Mark was a member of the Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge. He had previously attended West Zion Mennonite Church.
Mark was a lifetime farmer. For over twenty years he was a school bus driver for the Moundridge School District. He was the custodian at Eden Mennonite Church for over ten years.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Kay Wedel on April 2, 1965, in Moundridge. They shared 59 years of marriage. She passed away on August 11, 2024.
Mark truly enjoyed his coffee time with friends at Moundridge Market. He was an avid storyteller.
He is survived by his son, William Rupp (Kim) of Moundridge; six grandchildren, Ian Scott, Emily Scott (Brent), Brianna Jones-Rupp, Brayden Rupp, Megan Sizemore, and Jessika Leonard (Dalton); 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Berneil Mueller (Ted), Newton; sister-in-law, Elaine Brianni-Rupp, Lima, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Jackie Scott; daughter-in-law, Kim Rupp; and four brothers, Bill, Bob, Glen, and Tim.
Family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 22, 2026, at Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge. Inurnment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Village or Eden Mennonite Church in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, PO Box 410, Moundridge, KS 67107.
