Ronald Lee DeBerry, 64, of Hutchinson, passed into the arms of Jesus on April 28th, 2026, at Hospice House in Hutch. He was born June 28th, 1961, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Richard Lee DeBerry, and Wanda Yvonne (Land) DeBerry Smith.
He graduated from Cheyenne Central High in 1979. After graduating, he relocated to Hutchinson, Kansas with his life-long best friend, Ron Ingram. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army, but broke his leg in basic training, and was later honorably discharged.
Ron had an enormous passion for cars, specifically Corvettes. His love for vehicles led to him open R&D Supplies, an automotive finishes business. Throughout the years, he has made lifelong friendships in the automotive industry.
He has also worked for the KDOC for over 35 years. He is remembered as a very dedicated, always present, hard-working individual by his co-workers.
On his days off, you could find him working overtime at the prison or painting a car in his garage. His work ethic was admirable. He very rarely took a “day off”.
On August 14th, 1992, Ron married Misti (Snell) DeBerry, in Hutchinson. She was the love of his life.
