Trista Diane Powers, 24, of Haven, Kansas, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on September 21, 2001 in Hutchinson, Kansas and was the daughter of Donald Wayne and Corene Ann (Flores) Corcoran.
She graduated from Haven High School with the class of 2020. She attended Hutchinson Community College and received her CNA certification.
Trista worked as a nurse’s aid at Mennonite Friendship Manor in South Hutchinson and at Kansas Disability Works in Hutchinson.
She enjoyed any type of racing, watching scary movies, and playing online games. She was a huge NASCAR fan and loved her cats; Mercedes, Tigger, Tony and the Twins.
At the age of 3 months, Trista was a donor heart recipient. The day before her passing, she received her second donor heart. After her passing, her heart and liver were donated to help the next person in need.
She is survived by her parents; Donald and Corene Corcoran of Haven; brothers, Donnie (Caroline) Corcoran, Jr. of McCloud, and Michael Corcoran of Haven; sisters, Cora (Ethan) Flores of Hutchinson, Elise Corcoran of Valley Center, and Hanna Batty of Stockton; maternal grandmother, Kathy (Mike) Darosett of Hutchinson; maternal grandfather, Gilbert (Barbara) Flores of Castleton; paternal grandfather, Mike (Mary) Polione of Oakley, CA; paternal grandfather, George Allen of Hutchinson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and two nieces.
Trista was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Julene Allen; and paternal great-grandmother, Sonia Yutzy.
Cremation is planned. A celebration of life will be held later. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association in care of Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 217, Haven, KS 67543.
