Teresa Ann “Tess” Ellison Bromlow

Teresa Ann “Tess” Ellison Bromlow, 83, passed peacefully on April 26, 2026, at Pratt Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pratt, Kansas, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

She was born on February 11, 1943, in Schenectady, New York, to Robert Ellison and Ann Meaney. On September 7, 1963, she married Kenneth Bromlow.

Tess was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; and her daughter, Sheryl Anne Bromlow Flemming of Colorado Springs, and her beloved cat, Mr. Bibs.

She is survived by her daughter, Kendra “Kandy” Bromlow Grimes (Brad) of Cunningham, Kansas; her son, Paul Bromlow (Wendy) of Chester, Oklahoma; and her beloved grandchildren: Ashley Grimes Greeno (Hunter), Tyler Grimes, Trey Grimes, and Travis Grimes; Shanity Flemming Stackhouse, Cedrique Flemming (Brittney), Jaedyn Wright, and Jerique Wright; and Brandon Bromlow, Brody Bromlow (Kathryn), and Zachary Bromlow (Elizabeth). She also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren and a sweet old kitty named Missy, all of whom she loved and adored.

A lifelong member of the Catholic Church, Tess faced her illness with courage and a deep faith in the promise of eternal life. She found joy in cooking and generously sharing food with family and neighbors. She also loved knitting and crocheting, creating many cherished gifts for those she loved. Tess was known for her big heart and her willingness to help anyone in need.

A small graveside service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Cunningham, KS on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
