Jeanne A. Newburn MacKay, 81, of Hutchinson entered eternal rest April 14, 2026, at Legend of Hutchinson. She was born July 13, 1944, in Pratt, to Wayne and Mary (Hockett) Clark.
Jeanne worked as a talented self-taught dog groomer for 47 years. She had a deep love and passion for her canine friends. Jeanne enjoyed the company of dogs, and she was a trusted friend to the local pet community.
She enjoyed golfing, snow skiing, water skiing, yardwork, and tending her flower beds. Jeanne was passionate about round dancing, square dancing, and ballroom dancing. Above all, her favorite past time was dancing, secondly, she loved being an artist. Jeanne was a skilled painter creating beautiful works of art in both oil and watercolor. Her paintings were shown in various places all over Kansas.
On April 10, 1960, she married Donald Newburn in Hutchinson. They shared nearly 31 years together before his unexpected death on March 29, 1991.
On June 28, 1992, Jeanne married Melvin MacKay in an intimate ceremony at their home. They shared 33 years of marriage before her death.
Jeanne is survived by: beloved husband, Melvin MacKay of Hutchinson; daughters, Lea Anne (Pat) Piland and Dee Anne Newburn of Hutchinson; stepchildren, Monty MacKay and Lynette Johnson; grandchildren, Brandon Nobbs, Lacey Herren, Steven Hayse and two step grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Cody Joe Black, Thomas Nobbs, Jason Nobbs, and five step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; first husband, Donald Newburn; brother, Jerry Clark, step grandson, Jake Mackay, and many loved family members and friends.

Celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Andrew Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2026, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, 1219 N. Main Hutchinson, KS 67501.
