Roger Alvin McDonald, 75, of Neodesha, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Advena Living of Cherryvale. Roger was born on November 26, 1950, in Yates Center, KS., the son of Cecil Alvin and Lela Mae (Damron) McDonald.

Roger worked for many years in the trucking industry, driving for Little Bear Oil and Smith & Chambers, doing industrial work, and working for Prestige Cabinets. Most of his adult life was spent living in Neodesha. Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles, mowing lawns, taking drives down the backroads, and telling stories. He was always willing to help anyone that may have needed it. When able, Roger enjoyed tinkering around in the garage fixing things, restoring cars, or painting.

On May 23, 1970, Roger married the love of his life, Joyce Hedges. Roger and Joyce spent the next 33 years building their family and life together until her death on April 22, 2003.

Noah Quanstrom (Tori) of Lenexa, KS, Ashley O’Brien (Klay) of Girard, KS, Marcy McDonald of Girard, KS, Eli Quanstrom of Manhattan, KS, and Elena Noriega of Acworth, GA.
Great Granddaughter:
Indy Kate O’Brien of Girard, KS.
And multiple nieces and nephews.

Roger is preceded in death by his wife Joyce, his parents, and siblings John McDonald, Virginia Gevara, Barbara Kujath and Sandy Gannaway.
