The Hutchinson High boys swim team placed sixth at the AVCTL Division 1 meet on Saturday, but the Salthawks competed well with a smaller roster compared to their opponents.
Coach Brad Johnson complimented the Salthawks’ efforts, as they took 10 swimmers while the other schools had anywhere from 15 to 18. Johnson said all 10 Salthawks scored points, and they averaged more points per swimmer than any other team.
Of the 19 events the Salthawks entered, 63% were personal bests.
