Hutchinson, KS – The Panthers dropped game one to Hutch 6-2. The Panthers found themselves trailing early after the Hutch offense strung together multiple singles in the opening inning. Despite the early deficit, Neosho settled in and competed throughout the game. At the plate, Kamden Bray anchored the middle of the lineup, driving in both of the Panthers’ runs while going 2-for-3. Jayden Willard had a perfect game at the plate with three hits in three at-bats, and Abbi Godfrey added two hits of her own. Neosho consistently put the ball in play and showed discipline, capitalizing on scoring opportunities when available. Defensively, the Panthers were sharp, turning a double play and committing no errors. Trinity Hager started in the circle for the Panthers, with Madison Davison pitching three and one-third innings in relief and surrendered three runs on six hits. Makenzi Escoe closed out the game with two and two-thirds scoreless innings, allowing only two hits.

The Panthers came up short in game two against Hutch. The Panthers struck first in the second inning when Delaney Hill hit a single. Sydney Sapulpa then doubled to bring Hill home. Neosho stayed aggressive at the plate and evened the score in the third after Favy Najar lined a single up the middle to make it 2–2. The Panthers continued to battle offensively, finishing with seven hits on the day. Jayden Willard drove in two runs to lead the Panthers, while Faith Jones, hitting eighth in the lineup, collected two hits in three at-bats. Pilar Cox took the loss in the circle for Neosho, working three innings, recording one strikeout, allowing seven hits and six runs. Kamden Bray took the circle behind Cox, going three innings, only allowing two hits and one run. Despite falling behind in the middle innings, the Panthers remained competitive and looked for ways to close the gap making the final score 7-4.

The Neosho Panthers will look to bounce back when they travel to Crowder on Wednesday.
