She was born in McPherson on July 1, 1950, the daughter of Arnold Gene and Helen Mae (Goering) Krehbiel.
Vickie attended Santa Fe Country School, McPherson Junior High and graduated from McPherson High School in 1967.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in McPherson.
Vickie was a homemaker and she took great pride in providing for her family in this manner. Through the years she worked as a manager for the Duckwalls Soda Fountain, was a lead at Kit Manufacturer, Heartland Gold Pizza and Cartridge King of Kansas, from which she retired in 2010.
She enjoyed all the jobs she has had, was a people person and never met a stranger. Vickie also helped build a school in Thailand in memory of her granddaughter, Courtney. She was a great cook and baker, and loved it when the whole family was home.
Vickie was united in marriage to John Richard "Rich" Williams on May 26, 1967 in McPherson where they made their home together. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, Kelly, Kirk, and Kim. Rich died on August 17, 2008.
She is survived by her children, Kelly (Melinda) Williams, of McPherson, Kirk (Jamie) Williams of Shreveport, Louisiana, Kimberly Williams, of Hutchinson; five grandchildren, John Goertzen, Cody Cranford, Aaron Williams, Mackenzie Williams, and Miles Williams.
Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Helen Krehbiel; her husband, John Richard Williams; a brother, Gene Dale "Geno" Krehbiel; and a granddaughter, Courtney Williams.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Chapel, McPherson.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 4, 2024 at Glidden-Ediger-Wiggins Chapel with Lynn Scott officiating. Burial will follow in McPherson Cemetery.
