Paula Rhea “AP” (Prater) Clark
1962-2024

Paula Rhea “AP” Clark, 62, of Chase, Kansas, went to be with the Lord, on November 18, 2024, at Hospital District #1 of Rice County, Lyons, Kansas. She was born May 2, 1962, in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Gayle and Roberta (Majors) Prater. Paula has resided in Chase for the past thirty-five years, formerly of Newton, Kansas. She attended Newton High School. Paula was a cook and cashier for Kats Korner in Chase for over twenty years. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Chase, and Job’s Daughters International. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, being outdoors, riding motorcycles, and most of all spending time with her family. Paula never met a stranger and loved all children and animals. On November 24, 1989, Paula was united in marriage with Billy “Scott” Clark in Chase. She is survived by her husband Scott, of the home; three sons, Ben Prouty of Hutchinson, KS, Billy Clark and wife Anahi of Great Bend, KS, and Brendon Clark and wife Amber of Great Bend, KS; daughter, Stephanie Clark of Chase, KS; brother, Danny Ludwig of Colorado; sister, Grace Ashley of Wichita, KS; granddaughter, Olivia Henry of the home; numerous other grandchildren and one on the way; one great grandchild; father-in-law, Billy “Bill” Clark, of Chase, KS; sister-in-law, Wendy Gilmore of Chase, KS; all of her social media friends; and eight cats and one turtle. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mildred, Betty, and Lisa; mother-in-law, Marge Clark; and sister-in-law, Tammy Linke. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Birzer Funeral Home, in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
