Marlene Eloise (Mehl) Beneke, 85, of Wichita, KS, passed away November 11th, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born May 12th, 1939, in Wichita to Theodore (Ted) Henry Mehl and Helen M (Stoskopf) Mehl Larson. She graduated from Wichita East High School in 1957. On May 3rd, 1959, she married Dale Merlyn Beneke of Bushton, KS. They settled in rural Bushton, where they farmed. Marlene was a homemaker, farm wife, and partner in the Amway business with Dale. In 1980 they moved to Overland Park, KS. In 2007 they moved to Wichita. She is survived by her husband, Dale, Wichita; daughter, C. Roseann (Beneke) Collins (Al), Salina, KS; son, Mark N Beneke (Angie), Bushton; son, Lane A Beneke (Pam), Louisburg, NC; Grandchildren, Jeremy M Beneke (Chloe), Overland Park, KS; Nicholas M Beneke (Maddie), Manhattan, KS; Ashley C Beneke, Louisburg, NC; and Paige K (Beneke) Cope (Alex), Rock Hill, SC, and 9 great-grandchildren. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; by her sister, Wanda Jo Warren of Wichita; and by her son, Todd M Beneke of Bushton. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, November 15th, 2024, at Salem Church, rural Bushton with Pastor Tom Reazin officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem-Friedhof Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 14th, 2024, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.
