Judy E. ThomasCanton, KS

Judy E. Thomas, 87 of Canton, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025 at her home in Canton. She was a retired employee of Sterling Drug and was a lifelong resident of Canton. She was born November 23, 1937 in Goessel, the daughter of Albert and Elsie (Moddelmog) Heim. On August 10, 1958 she married Kenneth R. Thomas at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Canton, of which she was a devoted member. To this union were born two children, Julie and James.

Survivors include her daughter, Julie Carbonneau of Canton; a sister, Jean (Dale) Anderson, Canton; three grandchildren, Jamie (Kenny) Colgin, Melissa (Andrew) Shandy and Michael Janssen; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth on May 7, 2017, her son James, two sisters, Joan Bandy and Joyce Boyce and a granddaughter Saige Becker.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Canton with Pastor Troy Slater presiding. Interment will be in the Canton Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Olson's Mortuary, Canton.

A memorial has been established with the church or Canton-Galva Special Education, in care of the mortuary.
