Joseph Allen “Joe” Winkler
1971-2025

Joseph Allen “Joe” Winkler, 53, formerly of Wichita, died May 8, 2025, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 27, 1971, in Hutchinson, to Stephen Allen “Steve” and Kathryn Louise “Kathy” (Burdette) Winkler.

Joe was a graduate of Hutchinson High School and Hutchinson Community College with an associate of arts. He then attended Wichita State University, majoring in art. Joe was a night manager at the Coca-Cola Distribution Plant in Wichita. He also owned and operated Sportsmen Sports Bar in Wichita. Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing. While growing up he participated in Boy Scouts. Joe was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.

Joe is survived by: his mother, Kathy Winkler; brother, Mike (Leah) Winkler; nieces and nephews; Emily Winkler, Britney Winkler, Finley Winkler and Rowan Winkler, all of Hutchinson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Steve Winkler; and brother, Jonathan Paul Winkler.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Eastwood Church of Christ, 2500 N. Plum, Hutchinson, with Wayne DeWindt officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park. Friends may call Monday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
