Jerome W. Schippers, Jr. “Junior” 63, passed away November 20th, 2024 surrounded by his family.  He was born on February 19th, 1961 to Jerome and Angela (Green) Schippers Sr.

Junior was a very gracious and giving person.  He married the love of his life, Rose Ann, in February of 1984.  They built their home together and farmed outside of Colwich, KS.  He started his own business, Schippers Wholesale, doing auto mechanic and body work on the family farm. His larger-than-life personality and crazy ideas proved that he never knew a stranger.  Nothing he did was done ‘small’. His stories were crazy and ornery enough to caution sharing.  His love for music, classic cars, and his down-home hospitality will be remembered by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Kenny Laurer.  Junior is survived by his loving wife, Rose Ann (Schneider) Schippers of 40 years; children, Jerome Schippers III, Samantha (Fernando Resendiz) Schippers, Kaylyn (Chansler) Petz, and Theresa (William) Greenway, and 7 grandchildren.  Siblings; Rita (Tom) Montgomery, Josie Laurer, Margie (Frank) Adams, Jim (Sally) Schippers, Regina (Frank) Schneider, and Bill (Rhonda) Schippers.

Recitation of the rosary will be said at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 26th followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 am, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colwich, KS.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024 at McCracken, KS City Cemetery.
