1931-2024
Eugene “Gene” E. Weninger, 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was a farmer, school bus driver, commercial driver for Village Charter and the organist at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 50 years. He enjoyed going to the Wichita Symphony.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Walt and Martha; and his siblings, Vince, Don and Joyce. Gene is survived by: his children, Steven (Terri) Weninger, David (Darcy)Weninger, Becky (John)Willson, Lisa Brown, Ronald and Ted Weninger; his siblings, Paul and Jerome Weninger, Patty (Greg) Kraus and Nancy (Larry) Gray; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, and the funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 11th both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colwich.
