DONNA KELLER
1937-2024

Our beloved mother, grandmother (Oma), and great-grandmother, Donna Lee Keller, entered God’s kingdom on June 11, 2024.

Donna was born, at home, to Francis and Mildred Hobbs in Olcott, Kansas on January 10, 1937. Along with her younger brother (Gordon), she spent her childhood on the family farm. Donna loved everything about farm life and until her last day she would tell you she was a farm girl who loved to milk cows. During high school Donna participated in the Kay-dettes (a service organization), choir and band, in which she played the clarinet. She was also very active in 4-H with projects on chickens, gardening, canning and sewing. She graduated from Turon High School as class valedictorian in June 1955.

In 1954, Donna met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Gary Keller.  They went onto have four children: Barry Keller (Valerie), Debra Erb (Daniel), Renee Sanow and Michael Keller (Kimberly). They were also blessed with ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren and counting.

As much as Donna loved farm life, she happily followed Bob around the country as he pursued his career at IBM.  Wherever they called home, Donna was the senior operating manager of the Keller family, juggling four kids schedules as well as running the household.  The household usually included several pets, and beautiful gardens. She was active in cub scouts, girl scouts, baseball, football, band boosters and all the other activities her children pursued.  In her spare time, Donna sewed clothing for her children, enjoyed crafting, and was a substitute teacher in their schools. After her own children were grown, Donna began providing babysitting and day care at home. She was Oma to many more than her own.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, by a short four and a half months.  Married for close to 68 years, Donna could wait no longer to be reunited. She is survived by their children and their families.  Her absence will be profoundly felt by those who knew and loved her, but she will live forever in their hearts.

Funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 22, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Services in Kingman Kansas will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, in the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Laredo Cemetery in Turon, KS.
