Dennis Keith Coble
1954-2024

Dennis Keith Coble, 70, of Mount Hope, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, November 22nd, 2024.  Dennis was born November 6, 1954, in Kansas City, MO to Herbert Marion and Helen Coble.  He was later adopted by his stepmother Clara Lucille “Lucille” Coble.  He joined the Army where he proudly served from 1972 to 1977.  He returned to Dighton, KS where he would go on to meet his late wife Margaret Kay (Anderson) Coble.

During his time in Dighton, Dennis worked for Bretz Inc., a local implement parts and sales company.  He enjoyed bowling with Margaret and was very proud of their performance in their bowling league.  He further enjoyed playing chess, gardening, and spending time with his children.  After moving to Mount Hope, Dennis worked for Howard’s Inc., which much like his former employer was a local implement parts and sales company.  During his time in Mount Hope he discovered a love for fishing in the local pond and watching television and playing on the computer.  It was during these years that he discovered a love for solitaire, sudoku, and several other games.  He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan until the very end.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Herbert Marion, his mother Helen, his stepmother Lucille Coble, his wife Margaret Kay Coble, and his daughter Brandi Coble.

He is survived by his 4 children: Michelle Bucher of Oklahoma, Daniel Coble (Mickey Rajahkuman) of Mount Hope, Erick Coble (Lauren Coble) of Wichita, and Anthony Coble (Casey Coble) also of Mount Hope.  He is further survived by his grandchildren Zachariah, Dylan, Charlotte, Landon, Ellie, Maverick, and Kinley.  He was blessed to be alive during the birth of one great-grandchild a short couple of weeks prior to his passing.

The Celebration Of Life will be held starting at noon on Sunday December 1st, 2024 at the building located at 400 W. Main St., Mount Hope, KS.  It will be Kansas City Chiefs themed.  All attendees are encouraged to get their Chiefs on.  There will be food and lots of great conversation by people who remember Dennis.

He may be forever gone but he will never be forgotten.
