Billy Salyers

Billy Salyers Age 63 of Hutchinson Kansas passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday May, 25th, 2024. Billy was a lifelong resident of Hutchinson; he did try to live in a few places outside of Hutchinson for a short period, but Hutchinson was where his heart was and that always brought him home not too long after he had left.  Billy was loved by many and will be missed by many. I don’t think Billy truly knew how much he was loved in his life. So many times, life is taken for granted and it is easily forgotten to tell someone how much they mean to you. Billy had a heart of gold, he loved his Dog Bugsy, his years driving for the Hutchinson Taxi, Family gatherings, and making phone calls to those he loved just to say “Hey”. Billy's calls never lasted long but how sweet it was to know every time you got a call, you were on his mind. Billy will be remembered for his contagious laugh, and smile, those counted on phone calls, his jokes, and so much more.

Billy was preceded in death by his father Herbert Salyers. He is survived by his mother Loretta McMillian, Brother Johnny Salyers, Sister Brenda Taylor, Niece Heather Taylor, Nephew Michael Taylor, Nephew Justin Corkins (Jessica), Great Nephews Justin Corkins Jr., Jorden Corkins, Great Nieces Jayda Corkins, and Jaelyn Corkins all of Hutchinson, Ks. Sister Sandra Teaney, Niece Holly Jeakins, Great Nieces Payton Jeakins, and Kensington McConnell, and Great Nephew Avery Jeakins all of Salina, Ks. Niece Hayleigh Connely, Great Nephews Malichia Reed, DeAndre Reed, Nathanial Reed,, and Julian Jone of Waukee, Iowa.

Billy battled with his health both mentally and physically and he is now at peace without any pain.
