Arthur K. “Art” Dick

Arthur (Art) Kenneth Dick, 102, died July 26, 2022, at Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community, Buhler, KS. He was born to Dietrich H. and Justina (Martens) Dick on March 2, 1920 in Buhler, KS. He was a 1938 graduate of Buhler High School. He was a member of the Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church.

On June 15, 1941, he married Eva Gladys Siebert at the First Mennonite Church, Hutchinson. Art and Eva celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in June of 2011 with family and friends. Eva passed away later that year on October 23, 2011.

Art is survived by a daughter, Deborah Cramer (Wally Maya) Westlake, TX; two sons, Thomas Dick (Julie), Aurora, CO and David Dick (Patty) Buhler; six grandchildren, Brian Dick (Paige), and children Brendan, Tommy and Elin; Eric Dick (CC) and children Emily and George; Susan Philbin (Nick) and children Caroline, Alice, and Meredith; Rachel Myers (Andy) and children Ezekiel, Eden and Lydia; Rebecca Neville (Cody) and children Josie and Barrett; and Gabriel Dick.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Richard Dick and his wife Dorothy.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Buhler Mortuary, with the family in attendance. Graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 1, at Buhler Municipal Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Buhler Mennonite Church (220 W. Ave. B). Memorials may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or Hospice and Homecare of Reno County in care of Buhler Mortuary, PO Box 589, Buhler, KS 67522.
