Alvie Charles Axman
1953-2024

Alvie Charles Axman Jr. 71, passed away January 8, 2025 at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned.

He was born April 29, 1953 in Great Bend, the son of Alphonse Sr. and Beulah Tennant Axman.  A longtime resident of Larned, moving from Great Bend in 1974; he was a Service Tech for Doerrs, Roth Equipment and Straubs International.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Larned.  He enjoyed watching rodeo, working on classic cars, fishing, hunting and gardening.

On April 27, 1974 he married Melinda Ann Kultgen in Olmitz, Kansas.  She survives.

Other survivors include; two children, John (Crystal) Axman, Wichita and Jennifer (Brook) Havens, Lawrence; a sister, Joy (Paul) Schloctemeier, Ellinwood and two grandchildren, Alex Axman and Victoria Axman.

He was preceded in death by; his parents.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bob Schremmer officiating.  Visitation will be 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary, with family present from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Rosary and vigil service will be 7:00 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary.  Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
