USD 418 Seeks Community Input During Visioning Sessions

MCPHERSON, Kan. The USD 418 Board of Education is seeking the community’s help in evaluating facilities’ needs and priorities. The board is asking McPherson residents to attend one of three upcoming community visioning sessions in October. 

“When it comes to the future of McPherson school facilities, we want input from as many people in the community as possible,” board president Ann Elliott explained. “The Board of Education wants to hear from as many people as possible in this exciting process of improving our  facilities.” 

The community visioning sessions will focus on district facility needs, priorities, and opportunities. District residents are invited to participate in person or virtually. In-person sessions will be live streamed on the district’s YouTube channel (USD 418 YouTube) and information will be posted on the district’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

“We are looking to the community to help us evaluate our options,” said district superintendent,  Dr. Shiloh Vincent. “We heard from hundreds of folks in online polling and community meetings over the summer. Now we need help narrowing our options even more.” 

The district will continue to gather input from school staff through visioning sessions specific to those groups.
