RENO COUNTY – Two people sustained injuries Monday Evening as the result of a single vehicle accident on K-14 in southern Reno County.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2000 Peterbilt semi, driven by 18-year-old Dietrich J. Ensz of Inman, was northbound on K-14 around 7:30 p.m. when it veered off the road to the right. Enzs attempted to correct, causing the semi to strike a culvert just south of the intersection of K-14 and Sliver Lake Road.
Both Ensz, and a passenger, 5-year-old Beckham Ensz of Inman, were transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. Neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
