LYONS – Melissa Miller of Ellsworth was sworn in as the new City Counselor for Lyons following City Council approval of her appointment by Mayor Dustin Schultz Monday night.
Miller, who serves as city attorney for Ellsworth and other communities, replaces Jeff Kuhlman who stepped down last month due to other demands in his law practice.
The Council also approved a fee agreement with the Sherman Hoffman Miller law firm, of which Miller is a partner, in for legal services beyond the normal scope of her contracted duties, such as litigation matters.
