Voters in Inman USD 448 head to the polls Tuesday to decide a $5 million dollar bond issue for athletic facility improvements including a new track and football field including bleachers, baseball and softball diamonds, and concession stand and restroom facilities.
This is the third time USD 448 has placed a bond issue before voters in the past four years. In 2018 voters rejected an $8.6 million dollar project and turned down a $4.6 million dollar proposal in 2020.
Although the district does own a 40 acre property, plans are to construct the new facilities on the current sites of the baseball, football and softball fields on the east and south sides of the Inman Junior-Senior High School campus.
Most voters in USD 448 including those in Rice County will cast ballots at the Inman Community Center. USD 448 voters in Groveland and King City townships will cast ballots at Calvary Baptist Church in McPherson.
