HUTCHINSON – Hutchinson Fire Department (HFD) responded to a reported structure fire Tuesday evening in the 400 block of E. 6th Ave.
First arriving crews encountered a residential home at 400 E. 6th Ave. with fire showing from the front of the structure. Crews took aggressive actions to extinguish the fire in the room of origin. A search of the home ensured all occupants were out safely.
Prior to HFD’s arrival, one adult victim and two juvenile victims had exited the structure. The adult was transported to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for treatment of smoke inhalation. The juveniles declined medical attention and were released to family on the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
