HUTCHINSON – The Hutchinson Police Department recently held its 2nd annual Youth Academy. Upcoming 7th-grade students participated in the academy last week, gaining insight into law enforcement.
The daylong session, held on July 14th, allowed students to participate hands-on in law enforcement activities.
For eight hours, the youth experienced various duties of a law enforcement officer, including 911 communications, crime scene investigations, K9 handling, firearms safety, and ERT demonstrations.
