NEWTON, Kan. – Harvey County RSVP is holding its annual 9/11 Day of Service project this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walmart in Newton. This event is meant to honor the efforts of our local first responders.
Visitors can purchase food items to donate while inside Walmart and RSVP volunteers will be collecting them on the way out. The donations benefit The Salvation Army in Harvey County, helping those in need locally.
Harvey County RSVP is a group of volunteers 55 and older that use their skills and experience to benefit and serve their community. If you’re interested in volunteering through RSVP, please contact our RSVP coordinator, Mary Adams, at 316-284-6881.
