MCPHERSON COUNTY – A Galva man was injured Saturday morning when his bicycle was struck on US Highway 56.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), Timothy W. Mastre, 69, was cycling westbound on US 56 when he was struck by a car driven by Michael L. Ruddle, 73, of Galva.
Ruddle was eastbound and attempting to turn into a driveway at the time of the accident. He told KHP Officers he did not see Mastre.
Mastre was transported to Salina Regional Heath Centre for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Ruddle was uninjured.
