Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson Names New CEO to Replace Retiring Skip Wilson

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson announced today that the board of directors has named Lance Patterson as chief executive officer, effective August 26th, 2022. Patterson has over 20 years of experience in the Boys & Girls Club movement and has served the last 18 years as the Director of Operations for the Hutchinson Club.  He replaces Skip Wilson who is retiring after 32 years with the organization.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lance as our new chief executive officer,” said Dale Snell, President of the board of directors. “Replacing Skip after 32 years will be a challenge, but we have had the privilege of working with Lance over the last 18 years and are confident in his ability to lead our organization. We look forward to the many ways in which his talent, experience, and passion for serving youth will create a lasting impact for the kids and community we serve.”

Patterson began his career with Boys & Girls Clubs in Manhattan KS and then spent time as the Program Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis, Lily Unit before coming to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson in 2004. In addition to his role with the Boys & Girls Club, Patterson serves on the Hutchinson USD 308 School Board, is the President of the Reno County Food Bank and is actively involved in the Hutchinson Community.

As chief executive officer, Patterson will oversee the organization’s two Club sites serving over 1,000 youth in and around Hutchinson. He will be responsible for leading the organization’s strategic direction, business operations, program development, brand reputation, talent recruitment, fundraising efforts, and stakeholder engagement. He will also serve as the organization’s primary ambassador and lead communicator.
