HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Symphony Orchestra has announced Josue Coy Dick as the winner of the 2022 Anderson Concerto competition. He will be playing the First movement of the Aram Khachaturian Violin Concerto in D minor with the Symphony at the upcoming Dreams of Christmas.
Dick grew up in North Newton and is a second-year student at Bethel College majoring in peace and conflict studies and music performance. He has been studying violin for almost 12 years, has performed with the Newton Mid-Kansas Symphony Orchestra, and is a member of the Bethel College Chamber Orchestra.
The Dreams of Christmas Concert will take place on Sunday, Dec. 11th, at 3 p.m., at the Fox Theatre in Hutchinson. The concert will also be highlighted by guest artist, Knocknasheega, as well choirs from Hutchinson, Sterling and Nickerson.
