Water remains central to the success of agriculture in Minnesota.
AgriGrowth executive director Tamara Nelsen says drought conditions impacted many farmers in the state this year.
“And I think it’s increasingly evident to folks in Minnesota that whether it’s a dry year or a wet year or both, one of the big issues is water. Water availability, water storage, water management.”
She tells Brownfield collaboration and the adoption of new technologies in irrigation and water storage will be crucial as weather extremes become more common.
