USDA Undersecretary Robert Bonnie says the department is working to help lower fertilizer prices for farmers.
“We’ve set aside $500 million to look at ways we can support more domestic production of fertilizer here at home, and look at ways we can be creative to support U.S. agriculture as it deals with input costs.”
He says conservation practices can help. “We’ll look at ways we can integrate conservation and improve productivity through soil health and other measures,” Bonnie said.
