Strong finish to the week for cattle futures

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were up sharply, supported by the steady to higher direct trade during the session. Feeders had additional support from a modestly lower move in corn. October live was $1.45 higher at $186.92 and December was up $1.47 at $191.82. October feeders were up $2.60 at $264.47 and November was $3.27 higher at $268.12.

There was a light round of direct cash cattle business throughout the week.
