Southeast Nebraska farmer finds record corn yields

A Southeast Nebraska farmer says he’s harvested a record-breaking corn crop.

“Some of the stuff that wasn’t wind-damaged was mid-2’s (200 bushels per acre).”

Logan Bredemeier tells Brownfield that’s surprising since it endured disease pressure and weather challenges, including drought. “Some of the stuff that was down, we weren’t shocked to see where that came in between wind damage and tar spot that moved in late.  All things considered, we are pretty pleased where they are.”

But, Bredemeier says, harvest is at a standstill.
