A northwest Iowa farmer wrapped up silage harvest last week.
Jolene Riessen of Ida Grove says she was impressed given how dry it’s been.
“There’s certainly a difference in hybrids, but I was actually pretty well pleased with what we harvested, and I’m sure my cattle will be too.”
She tells Brownfield her crops caught a late season shot of rain.
“Kind of really touch-and-go there sometimes, then I realize other parts of the state were not as fortunate as what we were.
