Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or below-normal temperatures and near- or above-normal precipitation across much of the country. Warmer-than-normal weather will be confined to southern Florida, the western Gulf Coast region, and an area stretching from the Pacific Northwest to Minnesota.
Meanwhile drier-than-normal conditions should be limited to the Gulf Coast region and the upper Midwest.
