The CEO of the Minnesota Pork Producers Association calls the recently adjourned legislative session a mixed bag for agriculture.
David Preisler tells Brownfield there were positives like a payback into the unemployment insurance trust fund.
“Because otherwise that would’ve resulted in some pretty big increases in that tax that employers would have to pay. We believe that in some of the Hero Pay pieces that’s going to work for some employees on farms.”
Minnesota Pork also welcomed additional funding for broadband and emergency animal disease planning and response.
