Minnesota harvest pace stays ahead of normal

Minnesota farmers are finishing harvest and moving onto other activities thanks to mild weather.

USDA’s latest weekly crop update says most of the soybean crop has been harvested and the corn harvest is 93 percent complete.

Lake Benton farmer Bob Worth tells Brownfield most of the combines have been put away in the southwest part of the state.

“Very little crop left (to be harvested). There might be some that got a tremendous amount of hail on it that it’s just not drying down properly, or just a field that’s harvested (yet).
