USDA Under Secretary of Trade Alexis Taylor, an Iowa native, says diversifying markets and re-establishing a good trade relationship with China will be a priority.
“Last year, they were our largest export market with more than $36 billion for the food and agricultural products being exported there.”
Taylor says her approach to trade is developing policy that provides a balance of new, diverse markets with good enforcement mechanisms. She says it’s important to re-build trade trust following tariff challenges.
