U.S. corn for ethanol use and soybean crush numbers continue to reflect strong domestic demand.
The USDA says 446.149 million bushels of corn were used for ethanol production in May, an increase of 7% from April, but a decrease of less than 1% from May 2021. Production of distillers dried grains with solubles was 1,896,665 tons, 11% higher than the previous month, but 2% lower than last year.
The May soybean crush was 181 million bushels, unchanged on the month and 7 million above a year ago.
