Iowa farmer says he’s concerned about 2024 input costs

A western Iowa farmer has had a better-than-expected start to harvest, but says 2024 inputs are top of mind.

Kevin Ross of Minden says there’s been some relief with fertilizer costs and he hopes that trend continues. “Fertilizer prices had a decent shot backwards. I know some guys got in on some of the low anhydrous prices early, but I also know that low price got eaten up pretty quick too by a few places when they advertised it.”

He tells Brownfield diesel prices are another concern.
