Weather conditions continued to be warm and dry across Michigan last week, which led to some heat stress in crops.
The USDA says corn began to roll leaves due to arid conditions in some areas, while dry bean and soybean emergence progressed towards completion.
Winter wheat reached maturity and changed colors with the heat. The crop is rated 53 percent good to excellent.
Oats continued to need moisture, but were not in critical condition.
