Republican US Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa and the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association are continuing their push for the Cattle Price Discovery and Transparency Act.
In a meeting at the Iowa State Fair Monday morning, Senator Grassley said one of the top priorities for the Iowa Cattlemen’s Association is getting cattle slaughtered in a timely manner. He tells Brownfield his bill addresses their concern.
“Presently, if you are a cash sale person, you want a negotiated daily price as opposed to contracting,” Grassley said.
