Farmer’s crops holding out on light rains

SHARE NOW

A Missouri farmer is hoping recent light rains are enough to get his crops by.

Russell Wolf tells Brownfield it’s too late for some of his corn.

“Some of the corn in the graveley areas, or the thinner areas; they’re already dead,” he said. “You know, [the rain’s] not going to help. The top end is already gone off of it for sure.”

The Moniteau County farmer said it was an overly wet spring…

“So everything was late, late planted,” he said.
